Blackwells 1-3 are part of the Humble Bundle with Android
23 September 2014The Mac, Linux and Android versions of the first three Blackwell games have made their debut on 11th PC and Android Humble Bundle! From now until October 7th, you can nab Blackwells Legacy, Unbound and Convergence for whatever you would like to pay – and you get bunches of other games besides!
Also included in the bundle are:
Thomas Was Alone
Bridge Constructor Playground
Cubemen 1 & 2
Surgeon Simulator
Anomaly Defenders
Small World 2
…as well as some obscure games called Blackwell Legacy, Blackwell Unbound, and Blackwell Convergence.
All of these games are available on PC, Mac, Linux, or Android. So if you’ve been on the fence about getting any of these games, this is probably the best time to get them!
Thanks again,
-Dave & Janet
Is it possible to transfer saves between pc and android?
Sadly you can’t. Sorry!
Any plans to put Deception and Epiphany on Android?
Yes we do. We always start with iOS, and then send it to a company called Apportable who convert it to Android for us. The iOS port of Deception is in the works and is getting close to finished. So you will see an Android port of that reasonably soon. Epiphany we haven’t started working on yet, but we will soon!
Dave thank you i was holding off buying the bundle as i already “own” them on GOG but now i know they will all be released on Android one day iam getting them 🙂
Great on PC but iam very sure they will feel best on a Tablet sitting relaxed and easy where ever 🙂
Lolz if i ever get me self an Ipad i buy them again 🙂
Thanks Dave & Wadjeteye’s these games are my oases ,i do love them to chill 🙂
You can bet there are others like me who discovered this series through humble, and now are eager for new android installments!! Good news. 🙂
Is it normal that theres no voices in the Android version ?
Pardon my ignorance, but does this mean the first three Blackwell games will now also be available via Google Play?
Just like to let you know I installed it twice on my device (lenovo K900) and the VO’s wont work. I reinstalled it multiple time and it ended up the same.
Also weird thing is the commentary works just not the normal voices… Any suggestions?
Am I missing something or does the Android version not have voice files?
A number of people have reported the no voice issue! The folks at Apportable (who made the android port) are looking into it.
Is it just me or does legacy, in addition to having no voiceover, have the wrong commentary? It appears to be using the one from the shivah…
thank you! i came here to complain, but thank you!
[…] of $6.15 or more, but nets you the four aforementioned games, plus Small World 2 (plus DLC), Blackwell 1, Blackwell 2: Unbound, Blackwell 3: Convergence, and a few additional titles To Be […]
I played blackwell 1 and 2 and loved them! Love the ambientance, the dubs, the voices, the dialogues, the style, the story…
I started playing the third but noticed theres no 4 and 5 ports. Are they coming eventually? where can I expect them? :F
and by ports, i mean linux ports :F
Thanks!
aL
We are working on them! 4 is almost done and we’ll start 5 soon after that.
\o/
awesome to know they are being worked on!
Thanks!
No voice but commentary here to on a Lg g2 running 4.4.2.
I started the first game on the iOS a little while ago but was not real happy when I switched back to android the other day and found no trace on Google Play.
I hope the voices are fixed soon and you add them to Google Play so everybody can get them, I nearly missed this bundle as your games are the only ones I was interested in and only for the android ports.
Not a big game player but the story for these really interested me when I first saw them.
Humble bundle is a good way to find out about games / developers I didn’t know about. The trailer for the Blackwell games was the thing that got me to buy the bundle. Plus I found out about a new adventure games developer 🙂
The patch went up today and this should be fixed.
Hey there,
I got this game through the recent Humble Bundle, and I have enjoyed the first 10 minutes I’ve played. It has been good to have a good game to play in my Android tablet.
However, it doesn’t seem like the voice patch you mention about has been distributed through the Humble Bundle yet… is there some way to contact the Humble Bundle people and make it happen?
The voice acting in the trailer sound great, and I am bummed to be missing out :/

Where can I get the patch? The Humble App on Android says, that there is no update till today!?
The patches should definitely be out by now. If you can’t find it, email us directly and we’ll try and help you out!
The patches were released as you said, but the Humble Bundle app is kinda crappy, and does not reflect the update.
I logged onto the humble bundle website and manually download the updated Android binaries.

You are right. The Humble App said, that there are no updates, but after deinstall and reinstall i now have voicees. it´s all fine now! 🙂
Hi There. Just finnished the first 2 installments bought on humble bundle. Really great games thanks. However blackwell 3 convergence force closes all the time. I have tried it on my phone (note 3) my wifes phone (xperia z3) and generic 7″ tablet and the game freezes in exactly the same place. That is when joey goes onto the ledge to speak to the ghost in the beginning. Specifically when he wants to ask a question out of the notebook. Is there anything we can do. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Turned off speech..nothing seems to work. I really want to finnish playing the game. Thanks
Dave
It would so nice to be able to add savegames from PC to android. My idea will be to sync the savegame files and be able to play on both devices. Any new regarding to this ?
Thanks
Wonderful! I just love seeing more games running with Linux!
Thank you, guys, and good luck for the next episodes!!
I’m also having the problems with the voices. Actually no voices. I’m using a Asus memo pad 7 HD.
Oh, just done the same. Reinstalled the game and deleted the apk file. Then I downloaded again, and now I hear voices. Thanks.
Hi, Dave Gilbert.
I’m a common game bloger who loves indie game.
I have bought this bundle and played this 3 blackwell games.
IT WAS VERY WONDERFUL GAMES!!!
I got impressed this series, so I bought other 2 blackwell games at this Halloween sale. Deception & Epiphany.
This games are so good. For praising this wonderful series, I wrote columns about these games briefly.
I want to appreciate you.
Thank you for making this amazing series.
Maybe I can’t forget Blackwell.
P.S! I want you to read my columns but it’s written by Korean. It is sorry that you can’t read my columns. 🙁
Got these games in the bundle without having heard of them. The sucked me in; I ended up buying 4 & 5 and forgoing several nights of proper sleep to finish them!! Thanks for making some great games — now I plan to check out Resonance, maybe A Golden Wake too. Confirmation that Humble Bundles create future revenues. 🙂
Hey, i just finished Blackwell Convergence on my iPhone! And i this was my favorite so far, finished all three games in two days! Totally obsessed with these games 🙂 I can’t wait for the next one, when is it coming to App store??
Love from an enthusiastic fan from Norway!
It’s coming… soon. There were a number of issues that slowed down our porting process this year. Apple released an iOS update that completely broke our port, and then Janet (who makes the ports) got tremendously, horrendously ill. Nothing life-threatening (thank heaven) but it limited her work hours by a lot. She got the port working again a few months ago, and then applied the changes to all our previous games. Now she’s back on porting the rest of our catalog again. Deception just entered beta, so knock on wood you’ll see it on the app store soon!
