Blackwell Epiphany: Official Announcement!

12 February 2014

So if you follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you probably know already that we’re working on the fifth (and last) game in the Blackwell series. We have avoided making any kind of official announcement. Until now, that is!

Blackwell Epiphany

A dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper.

This wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last.

The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful – and so malevolent – that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.

Have been waiting for this for to long, really looking forward to it. I too don’t want it to end but i have confidence that Dave will not let us down and give us a satisfying conclusion. this is by far the best adventure series to come out in a very long time and Wadjet Eye one of the best games company’s going in my opinion.

Thank you so much! I am quite proud of Blackwell Epiphany so far and I hope you guys will too. 🙂

omg omg omg! I am SO EXCITED!! I adore the Blackwell series, so happy to see this one available soon. It looks like there’s going to be some Joey back story figuring in to this, which is going to be fab.

                  Hi, Dave,

I have played all of your other games in the Blackwell series and have been privileged to review the last 3 for ACG. Your series has been outstanding and I look forward to playing, and hopefully reviewing, Blackwell Epiphany.

While other games of yours have come and gone, you have always risen from the ashes like the Phoenix, only to keep producing something even better. Good luck with Blackwell Epiphany and future works down the track.

                  Merv

Thanks so much, Mervyn! I like to think we learn from our mistakes in order to make room for more. 😀

Its truly exciting to see whats going to be the conclusion of the Blackwell Series. Too all of you that have played the first 4 games, you’ll notice the characters & story are connected from one game to another (example the picture of Rosa first case with the 3 girls and the deacon is displayed in her room on the wall in the other games). After the death of The Countess & Gavin, It leaves you to believe theirs a lot more evil characters that Rosa & Joey will possibly face.
Btw Dave have you come up with a estimated time on when the demo will be released?

                      • Dave Gilbert on 26/02/14 @ 4:24 pm

I plan to have a demo available by the time I go to the Game Developer Conference in March. 🙂

Awesome news Dave, Thanks again 🙂

After being underwhelmed with a lot of recent point and click adventures, I saw the Blackwell series and thought they would be another in a long line of disappointments. A few years later I was keeping an eye on one of GOG’s mega sales, saw the bundle listed, and thought a few pounds/dollars wouldn’t go amiss and purchased them. An hour later I was buying your other games and making plans to spend time alone with the series. Now I’m itching to get my mouse on the latest (and sadly, last) installment, of which I will certainly be paying full price.

                            • Dave Gilbert on 05/03/14 @ 9:30 am

Thank you so much! Yes, there will be more games after Epiphany. We have three others in the works, one of which is very cyberpunk. It’s one of our favorite genres. 🙂

Do u think we will see any Blackwell Characters in any of these future projects? In Shivah (kosher edition) we saw Rosangela , Detective Sam Durkin & Nishantee Sharma (who is related to Rajshee) Also Ive noticed a connection between Blackwell & The Shivah when reading certain characters emails between both games.

                                  Btw Dave,
Keep up the great work & Hope all is well with you & your family : )

*Meant to say the “Sharma” name is referenced to both Blackwell series & The Shivah.

Thank you so much! 🙂 The games are great fun to make. It’s exciting to be at the finish line, but sad to say goodbye.
