Coming this spring: Shardlight!

Shardlight: A post-apocalyptic adventure game coming Spring 2016!

The world ended on the day the bombs fell. Since then, it’s always been like this: disease, hunger, death. The ruling Aristocrats — a faceless oligarchy that controls all resources — have unchallenged authority. There’s never enough food, water, or vaccine to go around. The rich receive regular doses of vaccinations in exchange for their unconditional government support. The poor live in fear, superstition, and squalor until they die.

Amy Wellard, a young woman reluctantly working for the government to qualify for the vaccine lottery, believes there’s a cure — and she’s going to find it. Even if it costs her her life.

This looks awesome! i love technobabylon and the blackwell games, the only bad thing is that it’s still months away!

I’ve played nearly all of your games. I love the depth of the stories, the voice acting and the puzzles. But I wonder if you will make the graphics more modern? They remind me too much of the Sierra Online games I played 25 years ago.

There are so many games out there that give more importance to graphics than storyline that i celebrate Wadjet sierra’s style.

Every game they made is beautiful and marvelous

I definitely agree with Franz. The minimal (yet, pleasant to look at) graphics help to pay more attention to the plot, rather than the looks. That’s the magic of old classics.

Agree with both above. I love Sierra style, the continuation of that style is a dream come true.

Except, as i said below: where is the diagonal animation of the main character? All Sierra’s had it.

Can’t wait for this! Kudos also for branching out to Urban Fantasy.

Atmosphere is suffocating (in a good way), the lighting rocks: the radioactive/mystical green and brown glow is a nice changeup from the cyan-themed Technobabylon.

        Looks like another must-purchase!

Oh man, “Spring” 2016. That’s next September!

September would be Fall. Spring is sooner. 🙂

You guys do amazing work, and have inspired us here at Monkube to make on of our next releases an adventure game as well. We’ve just started production and must say, it is a dream to work on (the adventure game fan in us was bigger than we expected).

Shardlight looks like your best work yet. Can’t wait.

Thank you! And I suppose I’m sorry as well.

I really liked the Blackwell series and Resonance, I loved Gemini Rue and Technobabylon and Primordia is probably my favorite adventure game ever but this … A Wadjet Eye Fallout has me hyped on a hole new level – the art I can see in the trailer and screenshots is beautiful

Would you mind skipping your holidays and freetime
                    – I simply cannot wait until spring 2016

Wow looks excellent! Great work. Am I the only one that is reminded of Quest fr Glory for some reason?

Forgot that Spring is during March/June in the Northern Hemisphere, so I don’t actually have to wait almost a year for the release. CANNOT WAIT. Love these games.

                            Yep!

The trailer is awesome. Can’t wait! By the way, I noticed improvements in graphics, that’s why I wonder- is there a possibility to see some of your games with not 3D but 2D graphics similar to Runaway series or to the first parts of Broken Sword?

                                • Fenriz on 13/02/16 @ 9:49 am

wow this all looks sooo good! The palette chosen is really good, neon green+brown, aw.

Except, mh, why doesn’t the character walk diagonally with a specific diagonal animation?
