Password?(might contain game play hints)

I feel a little foolish here among you game players who are far into this game but I'm stuck pretty early in the game trying to figure out why I'm supposed to know a password to get into a terminal in an apartment. I have completed everything else with the other character in Center 7 and have nothing else to do except wonder why I'm supposed to know a password or even if it's relevant to the game(one problem that appears over and over...relevance to the game). If it is not relevant then the game is over right here for me. Didn't get very far. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There are some gangsters on the second floor of Hibiscus.  Did you manage to get rid of them yet?

Yep they are gone. Still trying. I need to be a little more clever I fear. Unfortunately when I have tried to be clever before, solution ended up simple and obvious.

  Uhhhh...I guess the answer to that is Huh? I don't believe I have seen such a person. That is very worrisome. I may have to go back thru old save games to try and figger out what you are talking about. Thanks.

Hm.  When you got rid of the gangsters on the second floor, what happened after?

  My stupid mistake. When I did my research I discovered I lied to you about getting rid of some objectives. Once I did that I'm good. Sorry to have bothered you. I left the game for several days and did not remember that I did not yet get rid of one objective. Thanks for your patience.

Yeah, I'm on my way now. My bad for the lack of focus and concentration. The game has been very enjoyable up to now and I'm looking forward to completing it. Thanks for your help. Another enjoyable part of the experience.
