So I decided to buy the game from Wadjet Eye Store instead =)

*- Don't flame me I don't pirate video games for sh*t reason like "can't afford" I only pirate because I can't wait till release(and always bought those game that i pirated) because for sh*t game i don't even pirate it lol, don't even bother wasting time to download and play.

Why didn't you just buy it from Wadjet in the first place? I can understand pirating a game because it has DRM or something, but just because it wasn't on steam?

If you want the convenience of steam, you can add ANY game to it that isn't necessarily bought from steam.

About to buy from the store at the first place but the game look like it have a lot of chance to go to steam. I pirate the game just to wait it to be release on steam, even if it's not i'll by it anyway but I just don't want to risk my chance to have to buy it again -.-

But in the end, I finally bought it :D

I added Gemini Rue demo on steam but couldn't use the steam overlay function :( That's why.

And also it'd be awesome to have gemini rue in one of my game on steam list.

If Gemini Rue ends up on Steam, I plan on offering coupon codes to anyone who has already bought the game from me.

I realized though, they might not like the fact it's a directdraw game. I don't think they can do the overlay with that.

Then again there are some 2d pixel games on there now.

You need to compile the game in a very specific way in order to get it wrapped. Caused me no end of trouble untill I figured it out.

The funny thing is that since the game is DRM free you can just back it up along with your MP3s and documents and never worry about it again.  The whole convenience aspect of Steam is a legitimate point when talking about buying from other DRM protected stores like Gamersgate or Impulse, but DRM free games are exempt from such stresses.

And yeah, good on you OP for buying it eventually, but there was really no justification to pirate this in the first place, at all.  There was even a demo.

Good point, I bought the game without even finishing the demo lol. all the decisions has been made in about 1 hour, downloading demo>try it for 10 mins> worrying about steam> pirate> f pirate> buy an actual game from store.

but seriously, the game is like seriously easy to pirate -.- you gotta really trust your fans.(thank you)

I bought Sleepisdeath from Jason and its came with no DRM :D

but yeah, my brother told me that if we're gonna make games someday.. we shouldn't worry about pirating since those pirate will never think about buying anyway they just too damn cheap and always find and excuse to pirate(A thief is a thief no matter what) so better focus on making a good game so people would buy it.(while those pirate will admitting that your game is good and praise you but they still won't buy it, pirate logic are weird.)

I think steam is great, most of games that has price range from 0$ to 15$ my friends always bought it without a second thought, i did that alot for sometimes too lol.

I think im ok now with no steam thing for this game, I just want it to be one of my steam game collection haha.
