MechFlower

I am stuck in the MechFlower stage.  I cannot click on anything.  If I move the mouse over an object, there is no indication that I can pick it up with Hero.  Also no indication to move anything with Ultrabot.  I was playing the game up to this point and decided to quit for a while.  I was going to save, but saw the Autosave, so I didn't save.  When I went back to the game, I am here with the large seed but cannot do anything with any of the objects.  The hints tell me what to do, but I can't
Help!!

Hi Bucabeach.  That's quite strange.  Could you send me a copy of the autosave file?  I'd like to load it up on my end and see what happens for myself.

Where is the autosave file located?  I have Windows Vista.  Also, I started all over and am now at the same point, BUT I can now do things.

The saved game files should be located in the My Documents folder under "Saved games", but if it's working now I guess it's a moot point.  Sorry about starting over!

Hi.  I bought this game through Big Fish Games and I had the same problem after saving and quitting at the mechflower.  There is a thread on this error in the BFG forum for this game, but no solutions.  There seems to be a problem with saving at that particular point.  I just started over and will try saving there again on a separate save as well as the auto-save.  I will post what happens when I get there.

Thanks Burf90!  I tried posting some questions on the BFG forum about it but they have a rule about developers giving tech support on their site.  I tried testing this out on my end but I had no troubles.  Any more details you can give me, I'd appreciate it.

I'm having this issue too, and would prefer not to replay the game if I can help it.  Could I send you my save file?

PS I love the game too!  Saw it on Rock Paper Shotgun awhile ago, and picked it up when it appeared on Big Fish.

Hi Orf.  Quick question.  Does this happen only in the mechflower level?  Or everywhere?  And yes, please send me a savegame file.

Save file is on the way!  I had loaded a game once before (I think in the break room level with the coffee pot) and did not encounter the problem, so it seems like it's just the Mechflower room.

I haven't gotten back to the mechflower yet, but I have been saving, quitting and loading all along the way on my new game - I'm currently in the breakroom & just finished using the coffee pot "rocket".  No problems saving or loading from either the autosave or my own files so far.

I just got back to the MechFlower and here's what I found...  The problem seems to be only with the autosave file.  I saved in Dinah just before the MechFlower scene, then saved (my own save) at the start of the MechFlower scene and played it through without quitting during the scene.  I saved again just after that scene.

Then I quit and restored all my saved game files and had no problems with any of them.  The Autosave at the MechFlower had disappeared by then, so I restored to Dinah and played to that scene again.  I then loaded one of my other game files, followed by loading the MechFlower autosave and it played fine.  So, I quit the game, then started it up again and tried to play the MechFlower autosave and it would not play - I can move the characters, but they won't interact with anything and only the tabs will switch the characters, not clicking on them.  This only happened on the autosave and after I quit the game then restarted it.  All other saves are fine, including my own MechFlower save.  Just the autosave acts up and only in the MechFlower scene.
