Trouble logging in?

For some reason, you can no longer log in using the top bar. You have to click on the "login" link (within the sentence "Please login or register") and enter your info on the page it takes you to.

So in a nutshell:




Sorry about that! I'm trying to figure out why this happens.

Indeed... I tried dozens of passwords before I could log in... well, before I thought about checking the forums while I was still offline !  ::)
By the way, don't we have a way/a link to ask for or recover your forgotten password ?

So glad I found this thread finally, I'd even shot a message along about not being able to log in (along with who knows how many others I'm sure - Sorry Dave!) . I had a similar problem on a phpbb forum I run, so I know how frustrating it can be to isolate the issue.

Users get constantly disconnected...
By any chance,  did you manage to solve it on your forum ?

Haven't had problems with disconnection so far, at least nothing's been reported to me. I'll have to double check now. We had problems with the login script breaking preventing everyone (including me as admin) from logging in to the board.

Oh hey, the forums work again!

While we're at it, could I recomemmend TLS for the forum? The login field contents are sent to the server in the clear.

Any news about the logging issue ? And yes, SSL certificate would be a great addition
