computer in wall street bedroom --- cannot type password!
« on: August 30, 2018, 01:51:38 AM »
I get that the password is likely "griff" or some variant, but I can't get any text to be typed into the password box.  It's like the keyboard isn't being recognized at all.  I've been careful to click in text box before typing, to keep cursor in text box, etc.

This seems to be some sort of bug in the game.  Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hello!I havn't experieced this before. Here are some suggestions:
1)Make sure that your keyboard is plugged well.
2)If it is,then go to your settings,devices...and then find your keyboard and make sure that your computer does recognize it.
Hope this will help!

Thank you for taking the time to provide some suggestions.

Unfortunately, the keyboard<-->computer connection is fine, and all software other than Unavowed has no difficulty with it.

Only Unavowed is failing, and it's not just the using-computer-ingame-scene, either.  Unavowed won't recognize typing in its "Save Game" feature, where you're supposed to be able to type in a name for your save.

So something's wrong with Unavowed or related software (drivers, etc).

Hello again! If it's from the drivers, then try to switch the drivers between OpenGL and DirectX in the winsetup.exe (the game's setup). Also, try putting the render distance on the max neighbour.Sorry for not being helpful enough or solving your problem. You can also try changing the compatibility, maybe that works...Thank you  and sorry for not being helpful again.

Had the same problem, altho at the very start of the game (typing character name). Turning it off and on again fixed it for me.
I think it was cause I got impatient & tabbed out or something and it didn't boot properly in the first place, don't quite remember...
