Too many swears
« on: August 09, 2018, 03:07:56 PM »
Hello.I've finished Unavowed and i must say that this game contains a lot of swears. This is making the game inappropriate and less enjoyable (no offense, it's my opinion). But the game is one of the best games i have ever played in my life.

Just to provide a different opinion, I appreciate the use of strong language in this game. The people that I know swear all the time, especially when faced with extreme situations, so that makes the characters more believable and relatable for me.

To be fair, it's only one person who does most of the swearing. :)

Imo it is completely fitting the character and I would not want to have it any other way. Her big mouth is one of the reasons I chose her quite often :) This game is clearlx not made for children - you can see this in one of the first scenes. So I don't see any problem when one character is talking street language.

I understand both sides. I would have preferred less sexuality, profanity, nudity, and vulgarity, and in that way, for the game to be more like the earlier games from Wadjet Eye.  Due to the levels of mature content, I am hesitant to openly recommend Unavowed to other people.  Otherwise I found the game to be excellent and a good value for the money.

Perhaps in the future, games from Wadjet Eye could feature a setting in the options for toggling the mature content?  It has worked for other games.

Sexuality and nudity? Did I miss something? I've got to play again.

I'd be more concerned about corpses, or mercilessly throwing people in front of a train (if ya wanna go earlier games). But options are always great, I fully support 'maturity' settings if that's possible :) Also in the hopes that that might leave the mature of us with some actual mature content ;)

Sexuality ? Nudity ?...  :( I don't get it. Where ?...
Of course there is some mature content, given the topic, and setting... As much as I enjoyed the Blackwell series back then, I am happy about Unavowed's particular ('mature') atmosphere and tone :)
You can't  please everyone...

I guess they mean the picture/scene in the Eddings house? That's my best guess.
