Joey's Defensiveness (spoilers all 5 games)

Joey gets really defensive about his relationship with Danny in that flashback. Is the implication that they had a romantic relationship?

(Honestly I think it adds something to Joey's character if so, but I don't know if I'm reading into it.)

Yeah,about this...Idk what happens with him when he hears "Danny Marcony".Maybe he loved the days he spent with him?

Yeah I don't know why anyone would think it's romantic lol. It just read as strong peer/kinship to me and the usual frustration which comes with watching a friend make the wrong choice..
