Plans for more Oz-noir games?
« on: March 25, 2009, 02:00:11 PM »
I wasn't sure whether to put this in this forum or the Wadjet Eye Games General forum, but decided here works.

Are there any plans, or even thoughts, towards future games in the ECC universe?  I realize that Petra's story wrapped up nicely, but this transformation of the Oz universe (and the fact that it's based on the books I love instead of the movie that I like) make me hope for more stories set in this universe.  And while Petra isn't searching for her brother any longer, there must be other mysteries to explore!  Or perhaps a different player-character exploring the world from a different angle.

I truly enjoyed playing Emerald City Confidential; my only "criticisms" of the game are a) that it felt somewhat short and b) that I was disappointed that we didn't get to seek Gillikin and Munchkin Land.  Even so, the story was gorgeous, and it's a game I feel I can rec to any of my friends who like Oz *and* any that like adventure games, even if they don't like both.

Thanks so much, either way, for this wonderful treat of a game!

Hi fire & rose!  I would love to do a sequel to ECC, but it's really up to PlayFirst.  Should they give me the green light rest assured I'll snap at it!

I agree.  I loved this game so much!  I would love to see a sequel where Dee is in trouble and know missing and Lion, who she confieded in, asks Petra to help her.  that would be so cool.  I love this kind of game!

I was just thinking the other day how much I enjoyed Emerald City and looked here to see if there might be a sequel. I would love to see one. I would buy it in a flash. (Especially after playing Puzzle Bots!)

Unfortunately, I can say with certainty that PlayFirst has no plans on doing another ECC.  I would looove to do it, but as I said it's up to them. :(
