lack of controls/settings
« on: August 22, 2016, 10:31:19 PM »
I just bought Shardlight and began to play it.  Many things about it seem quite good and I hope to enjoy it.

I want to thank you for preventing me from adjusting the levels of the music, the background noises, and the voices.

Your choice to minimize convenience for players puzzles me.  It's been a while since I last dealt with tailoring the experience of a Wadjet Eye game, but I do seem to recall a larger set of options which were useful.  I find Shardlight's minimalist approach to configuration, particularly in relation to audio, a needless annoyance.  I really can't imagine what you gained from it, so there's nothing to weigh against the absence of a a convenience.

Itís been 20 years since the bombs fell, and mechanic Amy Wellard and her friends are barely surviving. Green Lung has gripped their community, the only medicine a vaccine in scarce supply. While the wealthy elite pay to stay healthy the poor must risk their lives, performing dangerous government jobs in exchange for a chance of winning meager vaccine doses in a stacked-odds lottery.
