Keyboard issue
« on: April 15, 2016, 10:45:37 AM »
Hi, when I try to input any text in game, it just repeats the last letter I typed infinitely, mouse cursor movement halts, but an animation in background still works fine. When I switch window and type something in another program, it works again until I press any key ingame (even Ctrl or NumLock).

As a result I can't type and savegame name (it's fine, as there are autosaves) and any commands at info terminal in Metropol city.

I tried to switch to window mode, from OpenGL to D3D9, I also tried to use windows virtual keyboard instead of real device, the behavior is the same.

I bought game on Steam, for Windows 10.

Unfortunately, Windows 10 and AGS (the engine that runs Primordia and WEG's other games) don't seem to play together nicely with respect to the keyboard.  I've come across this issue with others, and I'm not sure we ever found a satisfactory fix.

Another Windows 10 bug someone reported was fixed by going to the compatibility settings for the Primordia EXE and changing:

Reduced Color Mode: 16-bit
Run in 640x480 screen resolution
Run this program as administrator

Could you try that and see if it works?

Also, feel free to email me at mark at wormwoodstudios dot com.  Because 98% of our posts come on Steam and GOG forums, I don't check here as often as I should.  Hopefully we can fix this!

I think I have found where the problem comes from. Just uninstalled Synergy and everything works fine now.
