Corrupted save game
« on: May 14, 2014, 07:30:22 AM »
Hello,

Today I was playing the latest GOG version of Resonance when the game crashed just after the particles accelerator chapter. (Just after Bennet is shackled to be precise). I did not take a screenshot but there was a windows with some debug output. I found that the game save a dump file in case of crash. I attached it to this post, jet adding a .txt extension.

The problem is the autosave got corrupted in the crash. When I immediately tried to restart from the autosave I get an "Invalid Save Game Version" message.

Do you have a save game file that I can use? I'm really enjoying this game, but starting again from scratch due to a bug is not really pleasant.

I'm playing the current GOG version of the Game on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.9.2.

Best regards and keep doing incredible games like this one and Gemini Rue.

Shiva, from Switzerland

I think I solved my own problem, once I found where the save files are located.
Mac OS X is keeping a backups of the save game folder. I was able to restore the previous autosave.

The saved games are located in
~/Documents/My Saved Games/Resonance

The autosave file is agssave.001.
The game itself also keep a backup of the previous version under the name agssave.101.

I played again the crashing scene, and the game did not crash this time!

Let's continue playing!
