A Golden Wake
« on: April 04, 2014, 09:05:36 AM »
According to Gamasutra, Wadjet Eye is publishing The Golden Wake, Francisco Gonzalez's first commercial game.
Any details?  :)

If this is true, are we going to get to be Beta testers for it?

It is true, although just to clarify, the game is called "A Golden Wake."  :)

I can't comment on beta testing, but I assume Dave will handle those details.  Really looking forward to being a part of the Wadjet Eye catalog!

Been keeping fairly quiet about this game and Technobabylon, as well as other games we're working on. We're pretty much all Blackwell all the time right now. Once that is done, you'll be hearing LOTS more about Golden Wake!

If I have understood it correctly, the release is now set in the middle of October, not September?
Still no official news about this game on the site...

Correct. The game will release in October.

The official release date will be announced along with pre-order details in September, so watch out for it soon!

I can't help getting nostalgic feelings since the setting reminds me of Dagger of Amon Ra (a game I enjoyed when I was a young teen). So I'll be checking it out.

I'm looking forward to it

Just beat the demo. A little on the short side but overall it was fun.

Just finished the game.

Have to say it way really enjoyable  with the sellers intuition feature (though after long hours of attorney games I know how to go through these kind of dialogue based puzzles) the real estate games and the many smaller puzzles and memorable characters of history. I can't say I liked the endig much though as I prefer syrupy sweet to bitter sweet  ;D (but I now understand the meaning of the title)
Still congratutalions to another great game added to your portfolio and another great creator making his debut in the commercial world of games!
