developer commentary

hello guys!

i've recently bought this game along with more indies from humblebundle, and just finished it on android. it was a nice port, but one question remains: how can i activate the developer commentary? i have it on the main menu, but choosing any of the items will start that segment of the game, without additional hotspots or items. am i missing something?

Hi Arelim! Could you explain what you mean by "choosing any of the items?" and "start that segment of the game?" As far as I know, you can only choose commentary from the main menu and it starts the game. You can only play the game with commentary enabled from the beginning. You can't turn it on or off in the middle.

Huh!

It appears that button activates an ancient debugging command that we used to test the game back in 2011!

Somehow it got messed up during the porting process. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it before now. I will let the Humble people know. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hi Dave,

I also have been trying to listen to the Developer Commentary and am glad to have found this thread since I kept using that screen and hoping some developer commentary would be triggered as I played.

Is it possible to get the audio of the developer commentary from somewhere, ideally with perhaps a screen shot linking the audio to the game? I have bought Gemini Rue on Steam on Windows and can see the speech.vox file. Perhaps I could pull the audio out of there?

I don't really want to play the game again from the start. I'd just like to hear what the developers have to say.
