I am a member of STEAM, and have re-purchased the Blackwell game series for the achievements (yes, I am a sucker for those achievements ...

). I was really shocked with the visual graphics with Deception. I loved the game, don't get me wrong --- but really missed the retro pixel-art style of the characters. Same great voice actors --- but visually, Deception just didn't 'feel' like the same 'Rosa and Joey' anymore with the new look. In viewing some of the screenshots for Epiphany, I see that you are going BACK to the original look for Rosa and Joey ... hopefully. Anywho, thanks, Dave, for a great game series. Looking forward to Epiphany ---- and hopefully many more to follow in the Blackwell series!

BELOW IS THE REVIEW I SUBMITTED ON STEAM FOR DECEPTION (Also left positive reviews for the other 3 games with the obvious exception of the P.S.) :
Really enjoyed the Blackwell game series by Wadjet Eye Games. There are 4 games in the series with plans for additional sequels, and are point and click adventure games. They are intentionally created using the retro pixel-art style. The dialogue and beautiful music give these games that 'film noir' feel to them. The plots involve both the supernatural and detective drama elements. The main characters (a medium and a ghost) verbally play off one another in a somewhat campy comical style which fits the characters and games nicely. (Also recommend playing each game a second time with the commentary on - as the creator, David Gilbert, has some interesting and funny things to say about the game, the voice actors, etc.)
Highly recommend the Blackwell game series!
P.S.: On a more personal note, I enjoyed the game (Deception) but was not crazy about the dramatic change in appearance of Rosa and Joey. Much preferred the 'old' look. Same voice actors --- but visually, just doesn't feel like the same 'Rosa and Joey' anymore with the new look. jmo
