I burned the wrong monitor and now I'm stuck. Is there really another way to solve the puzzle?

There's no way to get permanently stuck! Despite what that online walkthrough says.  :) You can still progress even if you kill Gamma.

Have you gone back to Ever Faithful to tell him the name that Gamma called you?
