Such an incredibly disappointing and unfair review! I just hope it won't hurt the reception and sales of this truly innovative and lovingly constructed game.
The editor actually goes as far as to say that story is banal and puzzles are nonsensical, whereas they are by far the best thing about the game. All puzzles are clever and logical, as for the story it is definitely superior to most mindless Hollywood-like extravaganzas we see in most AAA titles.
Gamespot editors should be really ashamed of themselves for allowing such a sloppy and unfair piece of writing to appear in their site. They have a long history of a hostile stance towards adventure games, but lately they seemed to have mended their ways and newer editors seemed to have adopted a much friendlier attitude. I used to like some of the editors there, but now for me they have just lost all credibility for all time. I don't think I will forgive their site easily for the damage they may have done to this amazing game and the adventure genre in general. And by the way who is this guy that reviewed the game? I don't remember seeing his name before. Did they really leave the review for such a long awaited game to a new-comer? :o>:( :'(

The responses to the review show more than the actual review itself! I don't mind the review, actually. Everyone has their own opinions, and even a prominent review is still one guy's opinion. Complaining about the review would just look petty. :) I was more upset about all the spoilers in the screenshots, which they've removed.

I read reviews of games I might be interested in to give me info on the game itself. I don't take much stock in how people rate it because what I like in a game can turn out to be far different. Spoilers, though, I definitely wouldn't want in there. I'm glad they removed them.

I thought Resonance's story was one of its main strengths, so it's odd to see a reviewer bashing them.

The jewish character was a bit hackneyed though, I'd agree there, and as is evident from my other posts, I also found the puzzles extremely hard =p
