Mouse responsiveness in demo
« on: June 20, 2012, 02:45:48 AM »
I just downloaded the demo, and something’s…. off with the mouse cursor. Like, it won’t move at all if I’m moving the mouse slowly (like for fine adjustment, or at the very beginning and end of a normal movement), and it seems to accelerate too much. It also feels like the option my mouse has for ‘angle snapping’ is on in the game ( the one that forces perfect vertical and horizontal movement, an option I do not have turned on in my logitech settings). There aren’t any options in the demo to fix it.

I've got a Logitech G500 if that matters.

I enjoyed Gemini Rue, so I’d like to buy this, but not if the pointing and clicking part of this point and click is so uncomfortable. I'm hearing good things, and I want to play through this demo so I can maybe give you guys money, help! ;)

Edit: Also, how do I get rid of the screen-tearing? Adding resonance_demo.exe to the Nvidia control panel and turning on vsynch doesnt help.

And also also, when I upped the resolution in 'winsetup' to something respectable, the skinny lines appeared in the speech bubbles, between where the text is and the bit that connects the bubble to the speaker. Not a big deal or anything, just thought I'd mention it. Slightly distracting, is all.

There's a thread on the forum about this. I'm not sure if it will help, but here it is: http://www.wadjeteyegames.com/forum/index.php?topic=874.msg5294#msg5294

If that doesn't work, I've been told that running the game in windowed mode fixes it.

Could i ask what you mean by "screen tearing"? Could you post a screenshot?

I was having this problem in the full game (the cursor problems), but I think I figured out what the problem is.

I have a Logitech G700, and in the Logitech Setpoint software I turned down mouse acceleration. All cursor hitching vanished.

So this problem might be isolated to logitech mice that use this software.
