Achievements Not Working

Hi there.  Great game, love the atmosphere and what I've seen so far, however I'm having a problem.  I'm not receiving any achievements on Steam.  I noticed before I even started that when I clicked on Achievements in the options, it said I had 100%.  This was before I even started the game.  I thought this was odd but maybe that's what it's supposed to say.

I played the game past the point where you're supposed to get Diplomacy and Geminis, but neither of them popped.  My achievement progress in-game still says 100%, even when I click "reset all achievements", it stays at 100%.  In Steam, it says I have no achievements.  Any idea what the problem could be?  Were achievements broken in a recent update?

I have a feeling that's what happened.  There was an update to the Steam client recently and I have to think it caused something to break.  We had to do some seriously finagling to get the achievements working in the first place.   We'll look into it. Hopefully there's a way to fix this without rebuilding the game and breaking everybody's savegames again.

Thanks Dave.  I was afraid of that after I heard about the recent save issues.  Not the end of the world but if a fix could be had it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the game.

Sorry to bug you, but any update on this? I started my 3rd replay to finish all the achievements and I just noticed I wasn't getting any :-) I reset them but apart from the achievements getting reset in Steam (didn't even think this was possible) the in-game one still said 100% and new ones weren't marked as completed... Would it help to complain to Steam support or shall we just wait?

By the game where does the game keep these stored? In the registry?

We're still working on it. The biggest issue is addressing the problem so that everybody's savegames aren't corrupted again.

just got this game and the achievements arent working through Steam. they work in-game, though. but they just wont pop-up/register in Steam.

its not a real big deal, but just thought itd be fun to try for the achievements in another play thru since had already finished the game.

know this post is a year+ old, but thought itd be better than making a new thread. was this issue ever resolved? is there a way to fix it?

only other Wadjet/AGS game have is Primordia, and the achievements work fine for that (although, the "Know it all" achievement seems to be unobtainable, but thats a different topic entirely).

Hm! This was supposedly fixed over a year ago. Have you tried seeing if the achievements pop up on a subsequent playthrough? ("Stairmaster" being the easiest to get).
