Chit Chat! / Games missing from Google Play Store
« Last post by Juniper on June 03, 2018, 08:09:56 AM »

I noticed several of your games (Gemini Rue, Blackwell 1 & 2) which I have purchased look like they have been pulled from the Play Store. I'm sure it's not an incompatibility issue because games that are incompatible with the device still show in library (minus the install button), whereas this one does not.  Shiva and Blackwell 3 look like they are the only game still up.

I know you guys don't really support Android anymore but I was hoping you would at least leave the game's up, I know square has pulled a few games from the store but those are still available to those who had already purchased them.  I've been waiting for a long time for Android players to get some love and this is the opposite of that :(

Any chance these returning anytime in the near future? Would I have to repurchase them?
Technobabylon / Just finished the game and it's great <3

That's really all. It took me a while to actually sit down and play the whole thing but I'm super glad I did. Technobabylon was really good.

Thanks for all involved with making it!  :-*
Other Games / Captain Disaster in: Death Has A Million Stomping Boots

Well I released this game in December 2017 but for some reason I could never log into the WEG forum - tried again today for no particular reason and it worked!

Anyway, Captain Disaster is a very old-school point and click with a comedy scifi theme .  You play as the hapless space captain whose simple delivery job turns out to be a whole lot more complicated than he thought it would be, and then just to add to the fun once he's completed it he realises that he's just put the entire galaxy in grave danger.

What I loved most about this game is that it is well-written with a delightful sense of comic humor... To summarize, CaptainD and TheBitPriest have done an admirable job of creating a game that is delightful to play.
Review by Just Adventure, rating A-

Funky music, varied locales, lovely pixel art, appropriately cheesy voice acting and a story full of twists and turns one simply has to experience to believe. Were I to simply tell the tale of what Captain Disaster in: Death Has A Million Stomping Boots experienced, chances are most would think me absolutely mad.

What players have said:

An hilarious and fun to play spacefaring adventure, full of clever ideas and puzzles of all sorts

A fun successor to games like Space Quest with references and jokes aplenty and a lighthearted atmosphere that doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest. Had a lot of fun figuring out the puzzles and meeting all the bizarre characters.

excellent story with engaging & challenging game play with a lot of subtle social comment & brought to life with humorous voice-acting

It's Captain Disaster, a zany, outlandish comedy game that never fails to amuse. Gameplay is not too difficult/frustrating, and voice acting I thought was top rate. As a commercial game, I feel like it is a complete package, I only wish it were longer.

Winner of 3 AGS Awards - Best Voice Work, Best Character and Best Puzzles.

Also nominated for Best Game, Best Writing, Best Gameplay, Best Music & Sound.

The Blackwell series / Re: Two Pieces of Fanfic. [Spoilers]

These are absolutely delightful to read!! I will say that it's been just long enough since I played Epiphany that it took me a minute to recognize the names being dropped in the first one, and their significance, but I got there. Loving the slice-of-life for Joey in the second one especially well. He deserves good things after all the nonsense he went through.
Well, looks like I'm back on my bull . . . huey. I don't know what the age range for this forum is. Should I have looked into that before posting a fanfic that was written with a more mature audience in mind? Probably!

Hi! I'm Mack, Blackwell fan of four years, Wadjet Eye Diehard of three, fan-content-creator of . . . maybe a few dozen weeks, if you distilled that period down to the time I actually spent on creating content. This is, I guess, why I'm so embarrassed to think that I never thought to come here to find likeminded fans of this video game series that I love so much. Oops.

But I'm here now! And I want to be a part of this community! To whit, a link! Please let me know what you thought, whether through AO3 or here. I'm very eager for con/crit and fan discussion!
