Spoiler warning.

Towards the end of the game when I go to use Joey's tie on Madeline in Roseangela's body outside of the church it crashes. I get the following error message. Thank you for any help you can provide.

The Shivah / Steam Version: Get Music and Blank Screen on Launch
« Last post by azdak on October 27, 2017, 08:15:01 PM »
Just purchased The Shiva on Steam (user:_azdak_), and when I launch the game, I just get some music and a black screen- clicking, pressing esc, etc has no effect. I'm using a dual-monitor setup through a GTX 750 Ti, and it seems like the problem might be related to that- launching the game also flashes through some different resolutions and moves all my desktop icons to the other screen. Any ideas? (this is Windows 10)

Dealing with Nintendo is a hassle and a half that we aren't equipped to deal with. :)

I don't often see the threads on this forum. Sorry about that! Try running in DirectDraw mode.

I'm seeing the same issue. Nvidia GTX 970 here, W10 with all the updates installed. Windowed mode works but all the full-screen settings result in a black screen.

Same here with a GTX 1080.

It's definitely worth playing. Also, if you play it and then play the Blackwell series you can type fun things into oogle  ;)
Gemini Rue / Updated versions
« Last post by zak on September 24, 2017, 11:39:04 AM »
Hi Dave,
I tried contacting you about 2 weeks ago by mail but unfortunately didn't get an answer yet so I try the forum instead:

The only game I did not yet play (apart from 'Da New Guys' and 'Emerald City Confidential') is Gemini Rue. I want to play it for some time now but was waiting for GOG to update the the game to the latest version because I am having problems with my multi-monitor-setup and generally like to play using the latest version before running into any troubles.

But apparently GOG doesn't really care about your games very much because the game is still not updated. Now I purchased the game a second time through your page, i.e. the Humble Bundle Store and now I am really disappointed because the version seems to be the same! (file sizes are equal)

agsgame.dat is 62069353 bytes (Linux version)

I really dislike Steam and want to play the game without creating an account there. Is there any other way I can finally play the game in its latest version? Or should I try the Humble-Support to update their version?

Thanks for your help!
Primordia / Interviews & Teasers (Strangeland, Fallen Gods)

I suspect the Wormwood Studios team are too modest to self-promote, so I'll do it for them.  I recently conducted interviews with the studio, and in it - amongst other things - they let out a few teasers about upcoming release Fallen Gods and newly announced project Strangeland.

Mark talks about what itís like writing for game developers including Bioware and inXile including his work on Torment: Tides of Numenera, and how his career in law had an impact on the world of Primordia. He also talks a bit about Wormwood Studiosí upcoming release Fallen Gods and even gives us a cheeky sneak-peek into an as-yet-unannounced project called Strangeland.

James Spanos talks about his recent releases Until I Have You and Earthling Priorities, Wormwood's upcoming released Fallen Gods and Strangelands, and a slew of side projects including a foray into music composition.
