Gemini Rue / Crash trying to play for the first time in Steam?

I tryied the demo of Gemini Rue and I liked (running game went perfect), and then I bought it in Steam yesterday, but the game doesn't work at all. It appears the next message:

If you have played through all the games in the series, then you already know that (MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW):

Rosa sacrifices herself to give Joey his life back. So for all intents and purposes, the "Blackwell Legacy" ends with Rosa and Joey. However, if you have also played Unavowed, there's a nugget in there that suggests Joey and Rosa's ghost-saving "legacy" continues via another character entirely.

I'm currently creatink a ArchLinux package for GeminiRue.
It is better to provide the license used for the distribution, yet i can't find any license document nor in the windows or linux version of the game.

So under wich license GeminiRue is distributed ?

So, I just bought the games last week and have played through them all (thanks for the distraction from the two papers I should be writing, btw), and I was having a thought.

While I know that the games certainly don't focus on romance, which is as it should be, I have to wonder about the future of the Blackwells, as it were. It's pretty well established that Rosa is the last member of the family, and she's in her mid thirties by the time Deception roles around. https://showbox.bio/ https://tutuapp.uno/ https://vidmate.cool/ So, my question is, if she doesn't have a kid, either within or outside of marriage, what do you think happens to Joey? The family link to him seems to be biological; I don't think adoption would work.

I just wanted to know other people's thoughts on the matter, since Rosa doesn't seem to plan to settle down any time soon, nor does her lifestyle really permit that sort of thing. Unless she happens to find a single male medium, which also doesn't seem likely.

Hey so I I started playing this the other night and I am sort of stuck after stealing the diary out of Kelly's room.

I picked up the diary and when I open the inventory to read the diary, it just describes it and tells me to look inside it. I reluctantly googled a walkthrough because I couldn't figure out what to do next and the walkthrough tells me I need to right click the diary to read the contents and get my next clue. Is this a showstopper for users on Android? Is there actually a way to read the diary?

Edit: Not sure what I did but I managed to get the two pieces out somehow. Maybe I didn't scroll enough after analyzing the book.

Technobabylon / Game crashes when saving in fullscreen mode?

Hey guys and gals of WadjetEye.

So I just started playing the game and it crashed on me when it attempted to autosave. Apparently this problem only occurs in full screen mode and the save file it creates when this happens is labeled as "invalid".Hope there's a way to fix this since I don't really feel like playing the game on a small b'soding window.

I have the Steam version of the game installed on the following PC:
WIndows 10 Pro x 64
8GB RAM
Intel Core i5 3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz
NVidia GeForce GT640 GPU
Dual monitor displays running at 2560x1440 native resolution

When I attempt to launch the game, I briefly see the opening splash screen but then the game jumps to the background and is minimized to the taskbar. Each time I click into the game I see the game screen for a brief moment before windows kicks it back to the background. It looks like the game window progresses slightly with each attempt (i.e. the first time it is just a black screen, the next time I see the Wadjeteye Games logo, etc.
