The Blackwell series / Re: A book for you
« Last post by IsabelleFoster on Yesterday at 04:52:41 AM »
Very interesting. As well as another book by the same author, "The Secret History of Wonder Woman" or how exactly that title went.
I'm really upset that these books - as new, non-classic foreign literature - probably aren't available in any single library in Poland... And I can't afford buying all those books. Actually - a lot of books, even fairly new ones, are available on Amazon for one cent - but shipping prices to Poland aren't that tiny anymore. Sure, 4 dollars isn't a huge amont, but it's strange to see shipping cost 400 times more than the book... And, say, I want to order five books as cheaply as possible. Unfortunately, it seems that no one is offering all of them at once for a cheap price.
What can I do? Is it possible to contact those "Better World Books" and such sellers on Amazon and ask them to include a few more books just because I'm a foreign buyer who wants to order all books from one place to minimize costs? I'm totally addicted to literature and can't access a lot of extremely interesting books just because I live in a non-English speaking country...
The Secret History of Wonder Woman, wow it's a really beautiful book, I read it some days ago! In general, I really love books and read them from early childhood. When I was in college, I read many books on the subject of history and geography, these were my favorite genres. And of course now I switched to fiction. Could you recommend some book?

This game was awesome!

Can we have a second journey? I'd love some more backstory on some of the central characters, and opportunities to expand on the central character, develop more serious relationships and delve deeper in the mysteries of the city!

I don't like discord... :-|
I have a phpbb3 forum, and I never have any spambots problems ; there are effective extensions to avoid them (sortable drag-and-drop lists of words for example, or even just answer a question, usually do wonders...)

Or a moderator/administrator validation of new accounts, more simply (?)

Primordia / Re: Linux segfaults (Primordia and other AGS games)
« Last post by shellyclark on November 28, 2019, 03:27:45 AM »

I own quite some of your games (bought via GOG) At least two of them (Primordia and Gemini Rue) segfault as soon as I want to start a game (i.e., the intro loads fine)
Googling around I found a (quite old) post here describing the same(?) problem:
www.wadjeteyegames.com/forum/index.php?short lifetopic=3153.0
though no solution there.  But i found the error in the issues of AGS:
It tries to unlock some not locked mutexes....

As suggested in the thread, I compiled a (recent) version of AGS myself, and with that both games run fine.

The version of AGS reported in the games from GOG was
AGS: Adventure Game Studio v3.3 Interpreter
Copyright (c) 1999-2011 Chris Jones and 2011-20xx others
ACI version

The (working) one here is
Adventure Game Studio v3.4 Interpreter
Copyright (c) 1999-2011 Chris Jones and 2011-2017 others
ACI version

Not sure if there are compatibility issues to be expected with a newer runtime?  But maybe some update of the packages might be a good idea?

I'll likely also check the other games I have (Blackwell, Golden Wake, Resonance, Shivah), but they are currently not installed on my computer here...

Thanks for this guidance.

I don't know what system you're using, but you can find PC/Mac/Linux requirements here if you scroll down a little https://www.gog.com/game/happy wheelsgemini_rue

As for iOS? Dunno :)

That's good to know! Thank you!

Basically the best way to complete this puzzle is starting at M20
Since N to R is five spaces and 14 to 15 is one space apart
From M20 google street view
* Five alphabet spaces apart from M would be I or Q
*One number space apart from M would be 19 or 21

Q19 or Q21

I19 or I21
one of the four answers should be right, I recommend saving with ray at the vault .
Hope this helps  8)

Thanks for your answer. It helped me a lot.
Shardlight / Moving my save
« Last post by 0ld.b34r on November 24, 2019, 10:47:09 AM »
I have two PCs in my house. I have played to Shardlight many times on my laptop but I would like to be able to switch to my desktop PC. I tried to copy the Shardlight "Saves" folder from my laptop to my desktop PC but the game does not display my saves in the choices.
Is it impossible to make this exchange or is there a way I don't know?

First of all, having an ending at all is your choice. Don't want one? All good! Games are loops, and if you want to leave yours closed, you will be in good company dgcustomerfirst
