I doubt a kickstarter could help - Disney is too large company to bother itself with such things, and even Ron Gilbert did not try to buy back his rights to Monkey Island (which is more popular game than Loom).

So Loom 2 won't happen.
That's sad to hear  :'( But yes, it was logical to predict that.
Although I do believe that the possible cooperation between Brian Moriarty and Wadjet Eye Games could still bring us some more masterpieces.

By the way, it is worth noting that the rights to 'Loom' itself are held by Disney - but as Bobbin and the swans are gone anyway, I don't think it would be necessary to buy them.
And the rights to 'Forge' or 'The Fold', those sequels Brian had originally planned, are held by nobody, I believe, as they were not created? So we can still have a proper sequel without mentioning Loom by name.

Yes, that's right! And it seems Dave Gilbert has already sent him an e-mail :)
So we have a hope!

To tell the truth, I doubt Telltale could make it now - after Dave Grossman left them and they switched from adventures to interactive stories. And Double Fine seems to have some money problems. So Wadjet Eye is the best bet I think.

BTW, there are at least several fan-made sequels of Loom in the work. Has anybody tried 'Forge'? It is a decent one,

firestarter000, everything works for me with your last save - I can either persuade the trainmaster (or fail and try something different).

Here is a save for you just after that, upon entering the train:

That problem could also depend on your videocard's settings.
For example, with Radeon I sometimes see such black borders in full screen (on certain resolutions) if 'Scaling options' in AMD Catalyst is not set up to 0% for those resolutions.

960x600 is a very rare resolution and not usually suppported.
Try 'Graphics filter: 4x nearest-neighbour filter' instead of '3x' - it would be 1280x800 that runs well for me.

Frankie Teardrop, you shoud run winsetup.exe from the game's folder (somewhere in C:\Program Files maybe) and try different options there, like turning off 'Run in a window...' and choosing different 'Graphics filter'.

sierramindy, but you did tell them your e-mail when buying, right?
Then try 'Forgot your password?'first, entering that e-mail address. If not, 'Creating an account' with that address should still set up the Humble Library for you with the already bought games present (I think).
Humble usually sends you an e-mail when buying from a widget, telling about passwords  etc. - but sometimes that letter is lost.

If you open your Humble Bundle library (https://www.humblebundle.com/home) - each game should have a 'Download' button on the right.

If I have understood it correctly, the release is now set in the middle of October, not September?
Still no official news about this game on the site...

JanG, I hope the patch will not invalidate our savegames?
They are still waiting for the 'Softly, softly' achievement to be fixed...

fromsoultosoul, thanks for the news!
Your localization looks quite nice and accurate.
However I would say that the name should rather be Мойше, not Мойша :)

Chit Chat! / Re: Should I play Gabriel Knight 2 and 3?
« on: June 13, 2014, 10:11:47 AM »
I enjoyed Gabriel Knight 2 very much - and I think it has one of the best stories ever told in games (comparable maybe to Grim Fandango)!

And I must confess that I tried to play Gabriel Knight 1 and 3 several times for the last 10 years or so - but I could never get past the first 10 minutes :'(
Everything there was just that terrible for me, both visually and gameplay-wise.
