Haha, so you go shoot people to go chill. That's cool. Thanks for sharing. :)

I sometimes kill townie Sims or Sims I dislike, lol.

Other Games / Re: Suggest other games?

It's always hard to answer these because everyone's taste is different. And several of the games here are published by WEG and not necessarily the same type of games as Resonance. I believe Shivah was Dave's first game and then came Blackwell (a series about a spirit medium). I really enjoyed these. Resonance was started by Vince and Gemini Rue was done by Josh and published by WEG, I believe. Dave and Janet partnered up with Vince on Resonance the last year. Puzzle Bots is really cute, but written by "Lively Ivy" (sorry, I forget her real name). So there's quite a difference in all the games, IMO.

Don't shoot me if I got any of the above incorrect, I tried to be accurate but don't know how much of a hand each person had in each game.

Oh, if you click the games on the front page, quite a few of them have demos to try.

The board's died down since Resonance's release and I thought to try to liven it up a bit. ;D

I didn't know what to call this, so I called it a "forever" game.
It's a game you always go back to, and possibly play into the early hours because you lose track of time.
It's a game you go back to after playing and finishing some new games you got. Even when the new games have replay value, and you replay them, this game is sitting on your shelf, most likely still installed on your computer, waiting for you to come back to it.
It's a game that you don't know where a good save point is, just like a good book.
It will always be your favorite game of all time.

Yes, I might be weird, but who isn't. :P
For me, my forever game is The Sims. It's a game I got hooked on back in 2000, shortly after it's first release. It's the first game I install on a new computer, and I have multiple backups, even though it's fun to start over.

Do you have a Forever game and what is it?

I can't help but respond and LOL @ your post.  ;D

I was born near there, but my parents took me out of state ::), but I went back for a visit when I was 16.

I'm glad I won't have to hold the box up with my coffee cup.  ;D

Thanks so very much! You get a rep point. ;D I'd started a new game, so I'll either go from there or my old save. I read your post to my hubby, too.

Thanks again!

You made me LMAO at that.  ;D

I also thought you purposely turned the cup so the name can't be seen, like they have to do in some TV shows/movies, lol.

Hmm, I wouldn't know which topic would best be stickied, and what I think is the longest one has so many spoilers in yellow that I saw things I wish I hadn't seen. It doesn't seem to be that big of a forum problem, to me, and people who read some thread subjects before posting can probably find a few now.

This topic keeps on popping up, I think I've even seen it on another forum. I might be one of the few that entirely disagrees (no offense, Dave :) ). Unbound was my least favorite of the four games, not that I didn't thoroughly enjoy it. I totally prefer Rosa to Lauren. She may seem nerdy and a bit introverted, but I relate to her more.

I'm not one to get into debates, just giving my view here. I disagree that smoking makes Lauren or anyone sexy. Sorry, I think it a nasty habit and I'm allergic to the smoke, it gives me an asthma attack, so maybe I'm biased in that way, but that's my opinion of it.

I don't see Lauren getting out any more than Rosa. She only called her brother in the end, and seemed unwilling to accept the idea of being a medium until she had no choice. With each generation, they seemed more willing to accept it and do what they had to for the good of others.

Rosa, yes, had more exposure, being in 3 of the 4 games, but besides Nish, she went to the gallery and met the owner and the artist, and apparently partied with them all night (if you chose that option). She also met a lot of other people, some of whom she seemed to genuinely care about their well-being (Legacy comes to mind). And before Deception, she wanted to work on her web page for more exposure, and gave out business cards (IIRC). She wanted to be more well-known.

How cool  8) ...so Dave just whips out his phone and snaps a pic for us, thanks!

Hey, check out his laptop, he has the Resonance background. :) Do we get the coffee with it, too? Lol.

You could try switching the config from Direct3D to DirectDraw. It may or may not run, then, on a Win 7 laptop, I haven't tried it myself. If it runs, keep it that and don't load or save in the rain.

Quote from WEG Newsletter: "The good news is that we have arranged to produce more boxes than we will probably need, so there are still plenty of boxed editions available!"

It's not the 25th yet, but it seems to me to mean they have plenty extras for after the date. Maybe after the date they'll change the wording to "While supplies last" or something similar? At least they didn't run short. ;D

I can't answer about the eco-friendly wallet, but I know plenty of games now come in a thick-ish cardboard with nice print/picture on the outside. Know what I mean? I've taken jewel cases and printed out a nice picture to slide in the front when they didn't come in one. Also, DVD cases, I remember I once printed out a picture to slide in the case. They can be opened up flat, and the outside is covered with clear plastic that you can slip in your own picture.

There may not be much around for Resonance just yet, but as popular as it is getting, and word about it is getting spread around, someone just might make up some covers. Or if you or someone you know is good at creating that sort of thing, that's another option. You can print these out on some nicer paper than regular weight paper.

Added: Oh, and welcome to the forums! I like your username. :)
Jewel and DVD cases can be purchased quite cheap.

Can you find a winsetup file in your game folders? If you double-click it, it should open a small config window. I'm not quite sure for GoG, but I hope this helps.

Edit: I just checked the forums and someone asked about running in windowed mode and the reply was about opening the winsetup config, so you should be able to do it that way. Check your GoG folder in your Program Files.

Just an FYI for anyone who doesn't have some of these great games.
All of the Blackwell games are 50% off ($2.49 for the first three, what a steal!) and Gemini Rue is $9.99 on Steam this week.
