The Blackwell series / Re: Blackwell Epiphany demo
« on: April 09, 2014, 10:23:27 PM »
I loved it!  The graphics look spectacular.  I've already been anxiously awaiting Epiphany (and alternatively being very sad it's almost over).  I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.  (And  :o Joey, indeed!!!!)

Oh, and Jocelyn is going to be a VERY interesting person to follow.  (I already am making my guesses about her.)

A question, too, that I was wondering about.  The spirit guides...I'm assuming that Joey wears an outfit (as a ghost) that either he died in or that was typical of what he wore in the era he lived in.  Does that go for Madeline, too?

Can't wait for the full game to come out!  I may have to go replay the demo in the meanwhile.

Great, great job!

P.S.  I am really going to miss Joey.  :(

After playing the latest Blackwell game and the mention of the Bestowers, I was wondering about that old game about the Bestowers.

Is that still around anywhere available to play?

I remember hearing it mentioned before and I was curious.  :)

The Blackwell series / Re: Blackwell Deception is now available!

I just finished the game (after, uh, going to bed WAY too late last night and immediately working on it again after getting up  ;D).

Fantastic!!  And I have to say that Jamie's story, especially, made me sad.  I really liked that character.  It's too bad she was so unhappy and died.  :(

And more about Joey!  Hoo-ya!  :)  Not enough, of course, but I was really, really excited to get a little tidbit about him.  And I was glad to see some old favorites mentioned again.  ;)

But you really freaked me out near the end there!!!   :o

And now, I'm hankering for more and have to wait...so.  very.  long.  for the next installment!!!

Terrific game, Dave.  Your storytelling skills are absolutely top-notch.  :)

I yelled, "You're leaving it THERE?"

And I shook my fist at the screen.   ;D

Now looking forward to October 12th even more!!

I'm so excited!

And a demo to boot!  Hurrah!

I'm off to check it out.

October 12th can't come soon enough.   ;D

The Blackwell series / Re: 4th Blackwell game?

I am totally with you, John, on the hidden object games.  I loathe them.  Every time I pick up a game to see if it looks good, I am always finding it's a hidden object game.   >:(

One of the reasons I'm so excited about Wadjet Eye Games!!

Very excited about the news about Blackwell.  I can't wait for the next Joey/Rosa adventure!

Is there any update on the 4th Blackwell game?

I have in my head "April" for some reason, not sure why.

I was just curious as to any updates there might be.

Greatly looking forward to playing it!!  :)

That makes a lot of sense.  *nodding*

I like that way of doing things.  It gives a sense of structure to the writing, but allows you wiggle room so that if you come up with something better and more interesting (those YES! moments), then you can change it without your whole story falling apart.

I'm intrigued to see what Madeline has to do with things and how she got "banished", for lack of a better word.

You've got so many irons in the fire that I can't choose which one I want you to answer first.   ;D

Am very much looking forward to Deception!  :)

And Roddy...LOL!  I never saw Lost, but I did hear about that ending.  *snort*  I'm glad I didn't get caught up in that.  I HATE when TV shows do that.  Bleh.

The Blackwell series / I'm curious!

I know you aren't going to give spoilers away about important things like how Joey died or what happened to Lauren, etc.

But I am curious.  Do you have everything already planned out in terms of the storyline and how many games the Blackwell series will cover?  Or do you just have some major plot points taken care of and the rest just making it up as you go along?

It's really rare to find a series of games that has such a vivid, well-done backstory that's doled out along with the main plot of each game, so obviously I want the series to continue a long while.  ;)

But I am curious as to how much of a planner you are in term of storyline.

And really, really dying to know what happened to Lauren and Joey.   ;D

The Blackwell series / Re: Blackwell Legacy Help
« on: January 20, 2011, 11:43:54 PM »
Thank you so much!  I knew it was likely in a place that would be relatively obvious.  LOL!

I went and listened through the second commentary in Unbound (and boy oh boy...poor Joey.  Makes me wonder what Lauren truly felt for him--if anything at all.  :() and managed to find the special stuff at the end.  Go me!

I'm eagerly awaiting some free time so I can do the commentary on Convergence.  Not sure that will tide me over until Deception comes out, but I can try!  *grin*

Thanks a lot for these games!  They're super!

The Blackwell series / Blackwell Legacy Help
« on: January 18, 2011, 10:11:45 PM »
I will first say how much I have love, love, LOVED the Blackwell series.  I got them last summer and pretty much dropped everything and played through them incessantly for all of my free time for a good bit of time.  ;)

I enjoy writing, and I really like the rich layered storyline.  The unanswered questions would definitely have me demanding to know "What happened??" in a book.  Here, I just impatiently wait for the next game.   8)

My question is probably one of those things that will turn out to be glaringly obvious and I'll be embarrassed for having asked it, but I will do it all the same.  :)

I had forgotten about the fact that there was a commentary on these games, so I went back recently to replay Legacy to watch the commentary.  When I got to the end, I got the access code for the extra tidbits.

How do I access these tidbits?  I have the code, but I'm not sure where to input it.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.  Like I said, I'm sure it's glaringly obvious and I've just missed it.

Thanks!!!  And keep up the super work, Dave and Co.  Some of the best games I've played in years have been from your site!
