Odd! That shouldn't happen and nobody ever reported it happening.

Did you get your copy from Steam, GOG, or Humble?

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I made a game a few years ago for the TIGSource adult/edutainment competition called "Back Door Man" which takes place in modern day Miami, and also features a protagonist with an unusual profession.

You can get it free at http://www.grundislavgames.com/collabs/

Hello, and thanks for the kind words!

Darwin Award and Relics of the Present involve standing around for a bit in certain locations. One is on Flagler Street, the other is when you're sabotaging the stills.

History Repeating has to do with getting shot outside a certain location.

Brotherly Love occurs if Beau shows up at the end of the game, which will happen if you tell him the truth during your confrontational conversation with him.

Hope that helps!

Try running it in a window?

A Golden Wake / Re: Where is the voice?

In the Blackwell games, the characters themselves are the ones describing things, and so are voiced.

I made the decision to go with a 2nd person text only narrator, both because I often find narrator voices to be awfully done, and because the sheer amount of text in the game would have bloated the file size considerably to have it all recorded.

You are missing something. Mabel needs to regain her footing to climb up on the plane. If you move the car underneath normally, she'll just drop in. Can you think of how you might be able to provide a surface for Mabel to stand on to regain her footing?

1. Yes, Alfie stops wearing his hat after Chapter 1.

2. If you mean the golf tee, if you managed to convince William Jennings Bryan, you don't. It's for an optional puzzle if you fail his persuasion.

No, actually it turns out he's an alien who just wants to guarantee his species a place to live on Earth.

Correct. The game will release in October.

The official release date will be announced along with pre-order details in September, so watch out for it soon!

It is true, although just to clarify, the game is called "A Golden Wake."  :)

I can't comment on beta testing, but I assume Dave will handle those details.  Really looking forward to being a part of the Wadjet Eye catalog!

There will be a sequel.  Or rather, a prequel.  Look for it in the next few days.  In the meantime, enjoy this screenshot:
