Technobabylon / Re: Refund?

Thereīs a demo, so I wonder why asking for a refund? Seems pretty rough, especially for just not liking the game. Nevertheless, very fair of you guys refunding it.

Hello folks,

maybe someone could help me out with a little story explanation.

Just finished the game (amazing! though a little too much dialogue options imho), but it took me too long (like 4 months) because I had to stop playing often for a longer period.

I got the Central plot and the mindjacking thing.

What I totally didnīt get is the Hacker/Terrorist/Jahiliyyah or whats his name thing.

Who is he / who are they? Why did they lure Latha to the airship?

Unfortunately, no time for another playthrough. ;P)

The Blackwell series / Re: Graphics in Deception

Thanks a lot for this interesting article, Livie!!

That explains everything, great to get such an insight into the development of the Blackwell Games.

I admit I presumed, quite greenly, that consecutive titles would necessarily share the same "qualities".

Nonetheless I really really love the old school graphics style of the series and all Wadjeteye Games! Just of the series, in fact, the Convergence graphics are the best to me personally. : )

The Blackwell series / Graphics in Deception

Hey everybody,
I just finished Convergence and started playing Deception as I canīt get enough of Rosangela(Lauren) and Joey. The whole series blew me away honestly, I just love the storytelling, atmosphere and old school graphics.

Talking graphics I must admit, however, that Iīm a bit disappointed regarding the graphics in Blackwell Deception. At first I was suprised about the menus, character closeups and more stuff being kinda HD compared to the other games, really great. BUT I really think that the character graphics of Joey and Rosa in game are a lot worse here, I find them so much better in Convergence actually. Rosa looks awfully flat and bumpy, just really different. What happenend??  ???

Does anyone share my opinion here?

Nevertheless, I think Iīm getting over this and enjoy Deception anyway.  :D

Iīm really curious about what Deception is gonna be like storywise...

Oh no, I found it! That should have been obvious. How could I miss this? And then you start to think in the most strange of ways..  :o

That bloody magnet had me tearing my hair out.

Do you mean the riddle at the warehouse? Spoiler: Where you have to get the key for the forklift?

Thatīs where I am stuck right now. Just donīt know how to solve this.

Hereīs what I think - but am I on the right track?
I recognize the key by using the scanning device. I need a manget to get the keys out. But where do I get a magnet from? I searched all the places available. I keep wondering about the tools at the techroom and the characters hints are a mystery to me - Bennet says I could take something very small but I dont find anything nor can I pickup any of the tools. Man, Iīm stuck.

A hint at the right direction would be appreciated!  :)

Awesome game by the way, tricky but not too frustrating - until now.  8)
