Thanks for the pictures, k0SH!
It looks like your collection is totally complete :)
And what is that jewel-case edition of 'Blackwell Legacy'?

This looks interesting, Blackwell-like:

Well, while the forum is being very quiet and Dave and everyone are busy working on new games, let me resurrect this old thread - and recollect some good memories from older games. Especially of those games you can in fact collect physically :)

As far as I know, there were only five (out of now fifteen) Wadjet Eye Games published on disk. At that, 'Blackwell Deception' was lucky enough to have the first three Blackwell games on its disk as well.

I don't have English disk edition of 'Gemini Rue' - was it published? At least, there surely was the German disk edition. And I have the Russian disk - it is jewel-case only, but still quite rare. Probably even Dave himself does not have it :)

'Da New Guys' had some bonuses added: three cards of our heroes!

And 'Resonance' was the only one boxed - even if it is a little box, and the only bonus is the poster. If I remember it correctly, it is after this edition shipped that Dave decided he will never ever publish a physical edition again...

Now, does anyone have a 'Primordia' disk edition in his or her collection? It has been published, right?

I am VERY impressed with 'Kathy Rain'! Not worse than 'Blackell'itself, really. My only complain is that it is just too short...
Yes, I see it is quite logical as there is only one author and it took more than four years for him to produce the game.

Maybe Dave and Wadjet Eye Games could take Kathy's sequel in their strong and experienced hands? :)

No speech there!

Yes, that's a nice game! Rather similar to Wadjet Eye Games, but it is short as it is only Episode One.

Grundislav has already explained all the actions you need to do!
You can see it in my Achievement guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=641118708

It is not Adobe Flash.
Those two files highscore.dat and prefs.dat are your saved games! Those are only files I have for Playfirst games (besides logfile.txt).

I don't know why your game does not see them. Maybe Windows 10 puts them in different folder than Windows 7?

Oh, and if I rebember correctly, Playfirst games are very picky as for their location. That is, if I move the game to another folder, old saves do not work any more.

Wow, the spammers are spamming in the 'Spam' topic. Now. that's nice  :D

Technobabylon / Re: Alternative font?

I don't think there is an official way to change fonts.
But there was an unofficial trick that worked for me at least on earlier AGS games.
You can try if you want! Just choose some other font you like, place it in the game directory - and name it agsfnt1.ttf and/or agsfnt2.ttf, agsfnt3.ttf, agsfnt4.ttf. One of those names could work (or not).

The Blackwell series / Re: Dave, did you become Joseph Mitchell?
« on: January 04, 2016, 02:13:54 AM »
Dave, thank you very much for the great news! The game looks very interesting, especially considering it being set in the same world as 'Blackwell'. I hope we would be able to meet Joey there :)

Will 'Unavowed' happen before or after 'Automaticity'? As publishing the latter one would require you to focus on its launch as well, I guess.

Just please do not ban actual users :)

Of all forums I use, this was the most difficult to register at, and after that I had been banned here two times without any reason... It's very strange that so many spammers still come here with all those security measures.

Don't wait for Playfirst Steam sale - that will probably never happen as Playfirst PC-gaming is dead for several years already.

"Emerald City Confidential" is the first Wadjet Eye game I have played - and still my favourite even after Blackwells and Technobabylon :)

Other Games / Da New Guys and Das Olde Desura
« on: June 06, 2015, 07:53:27 AM »
'Da New Guys' is the only not-on-Steam game by Wadjet Eye Games, if I am not mistaken.
I own it on Desura - but the recent news suggest that Desura is going to close its doors soon. And Dave Gilbert said he would not deal with Desura any more quite some time ago - there were indeed no more Wadjet Eye games published there since 'Primordia'.

I can still download 'Da New Guys' on Desura for now - but are there any plans for getting it to Steam, in case that platform will be shut down? I think Wadjet Eye Games have proved their quality well enough not to be admitted through Steam Greenlight only?

I had the same problem once :)
But you can actually use wetware on the guard in the window up there...
