Gemini Rue / Re: Another Day's Work - Cover

Thanks! I got excited after hearing Nathan's samples for TechnoBabylon, and accordion covers are apparently the result of my excitement these days...

Thanks! Always glad to hear composers talk about their process in any way.

These are great! I find Prisoner of Consciousness is a particularly chilling atmosphere.

I'm curious if there is a rough percentage you could give of how much of this project is done with instrument samples/software synths vs a more sound-designy/post-productiony sort of approach? If that makes any sense at all? I felt like these tunes and your work for Gemini Rue seemed to have both pretty well integrated in terms of having a lot of texture and some memorable melodic/harmonic writing as well.

A Golden Wake / Novel-like narrative?
« on: November 03, 2014, 01:50:58 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone else who's played the game thought the narrative structure felt kind of like a novel, as opposed to a usual serial/linear or cinematic narrative you might expect from a game? Both times that I've played through so far have given me the feeling, by the ending, of a tragic novel, which is satisfying in a different way than I usually get from a game's completion.

Gemini Rue / Another Day's Work - Cover

Maybe I'll just have to work my way through the rest of the Wadjet Eye catalog for covers. In the meantime, I really enjoyed this whole soundtrack by Nathan Allen Pinard, and it was a ton of fun to work on this. (not to mention oddly theraputic during the streak of rainy days we just finished having.)

A Golden Wake / Accordion cover of A Golden Wake theme

Hi All - another great Wadjet Eye game, another great soundtrack for that game. I've attempted a solo accordion cover of the game's main theme.

Check it out here!: http://youtu.be/Inuav6lHuIk

The Blackwell series / OK to post Soundtrack cover?
« on: May 01, 2014, 01:26:58 PM »

I'm new to the forums and I wanted to see if it was alright to post a cover I made of one of the tunes from the Blackwell Unbound soundtrack on accordion? I know I've seen the composer and the series creator on these forums so I wanted to check to make sure it was ok. Thanks!

I agree with Roisack about the puzzles - they are an interesting step, but were to me a little too easy (same about the necktie at the end, too). But I found that they flowed into the story and served to flesh it out better than they had in previous games, many of which had for me at least one "item-hunt" trap where I got stuck for a while and had to take a break to not be so frustrated. I liked that Epiphany didn't really have this, but I think my total play time as thoroughly as I could manage was around 5hrs.

As for the rest of the game, I feel like want to replay the whole series before I make up my mind about story stuff, but I did enjoy the mood and atmosphere a great deal.

The Shivah / Any way to get soundtrack separately?
« on: May 01, 2014, 10:49:49 AM »
Hi all.

Wondering if there's any way to get the soundtrack separately? I already got the iOS version, which I think is the one version that doesn't come with the soundtrack as a bonus.
