I have used the 3d assets once again to experiment with the virtual-reality interaction system that I am working on. The result was pretty interesting:

I tried both 2D and 3D and the second one I think is more complicated. The level of details and composition is tottaly different in 2D and 3D world. You should model, texture (UVW,Bump,Lightmap, Shaders) the hole environment.

And even animation should be more detailed in 3D game than in 2D.

I meant Unity is easier than other game engines but yeah, it's still not easy to understand how it works. But anyway there's a lot of tutorials and a lot of info in internet so just give you one more chance and maybe you'll get it. Wish you luck !  :)

The world of Gemini Rue is amazing. I was always trying to imagine how it would look in real life during my walkthrough. That's why I ended making this small project. It is not so perfect as I wanted it to do. At first I wanted to do third person game, but I didn't manage my time to comlete my character model and animation. That's why those components are a bit glitchy.

Unity is a good and cheap way to produce a small indie project. I found out that its a easy game engine that gives you enough possibilities to accomplish all kind of goal.

Hello Wadjet Eye, hello Everyone!
Last summer I found a couple of days and started to use one popular and free game engine. For a test level I remade a small part of Gemini Rue game in 3D. I don't continue to make this project anymore, but I learned everything I wanted during this research project and now I am making my own steps in videogame developing.

Gemini Rue has really interesting art design and storytelling. I want to say thank to everyone who worked on this game.  It inspired me a lot.
