I clicked all over the screen looking for a way to exit to the main menu, but hadn't tried pushing escape. I will try it. Thanks for your help!

The Blackwell series / Re: Two questions relating to Joey.
« on: July 08, 2016, 11:59:49 PM »
Joey is from the early 30s, I think he might have died in 1931 (as revealed in the last Blackwell game), and Jimmy Stewart wasn't famous yet then. According to Wikipedia, Jimmy Stewart's first movie wasn't until 1935. Regardless of those facts, I do not think Joey looks or sounds like Stewart. Stewart usually played nice guys and Joey strikes me as being a bit of a scoundrel. Joey has a good heart, which can be seen by how he grows to care about the Blackwell women, but I can imagine that he had a penchant for making bad decisions and getting himself in trouble sometimes when he was originally alive in the 30s. I could be wrong, but that doesn't seem like the type of character that Stewart would play. In the movies I have seen him in from the 30s, he is a law abiding, boy next door type who doesn't get in trouble with gangsters, and I could see Joey getting in that kind of trouble. I am not sure if Joey is based on a specific actor. Maybe someone else here knows about that.

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else here. I looked and couldn't find an answer to my question, which is why I decided to post. But if it has been answered before, and someone wants to link me to that thread, I would appreciate it. Or if they can answer my question here, that works too. I just started playing Gemini Rue and cannot figure out how to exit my game and save it. I click all over the screen and it won't take me back to the start menu. I can control-alt-del to exit, but my progress isn't saved. The game did autosave at one point, but I would like to be able to save and exit whenever I choose to. Thanks for your help!

The Blackwell series / Re: Need help with glitch in Blackwell Legacy...

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your quick reply! Clicking "around the corner" did the trick. I feel so silly that I could not figure that out myself. I did try to get past that part of the game for quite a while before I posted here. I even deleted and re-installed the game and started it over from the beginning and still encountered that problem.

I am grateful for your help and am glad that I was able to finally finish the game! I look forward to playing Blackwell Unbound next. Hopefully I won't have any tech problems with that game, but I know that if I do I can come here for help and I really appreciate that!

Thanks Again and Take Care!
Roxie

The Blackwell series / Need help with glitch in Blackwell Legacy...
« on: August 09, 2013, 04:22:20 AM »
Hello,

I was not able to go through every post here, but I did go through quite a few pages and did not see any postings about the problem I am having. If there is an earlier post, and I missed it, I apologize.

The problem I am having is at Bellevue Hospital, and according to the walkthrough, I am near the end of the game. I am trying to get in to see Susan Lee after visiting hours are over. I am able to turn the lights off, and hide from the guard, but as soon as I go down the corridor to Susan's room I get stuck and cannot turn the corner. The guard gets stuck too when he comes through the door back towards his desk, and my game freezes.

Has this happened to anyone else here, and if so, were they able to get past this problem? Any help would be much appreciated! This is the first time I have played a Blackwell game and I am loving it and would be very disappointed if I was unable to finish the game.

Thanks,
Roxie
