Hey guys, Long time reader first time writer and like most of you counting down the months till the next blackwell game. I know the game is well into development now, but I was curious as to what people might want to see in this next installment and as the series progresses.
Deception ended with a huge cliffhanger what with the reveal of the organization of "psychic vampires" or whatever it is they are called in the blackwell world, and the potential for Rosa to be running from the law, wanted for the deaths of Lisa and Gavin.
Of course I would totally love to see both these ideas expanded upon, with the psychic vampire cult becoming a real danger to Rosa and the police becoming a thorn in her side. She's managed to stay very much out of the wider world as far as her nightly activities are concerned and that seems to be just the way she likes it. It would be neat to have her confronted with the fact that her ghost saving might actually have serious consequences for her and her livelyhood, all the while also having to contend with Joey and the duties she is bound to.
Deception also gave us the first real clues to Joey's past and I'd also like to see that taken and run with. In fact it would be really neat to have a Blackwell game that is Joey centered, perhaps even set in the 1930's??? Having us play through the events leading up to Joey's death and binding to Rosa's grandmother.
Finally, id really like to see Blackwell expanded into the world beyond New York City, not necessarily be removing Rosa from the setting but by perhaps introducing a bestower from outside of New York into the series as a supporting character.
We've already seen that other bestowers exist via The Countess (though hopefully not all of them are totally crazy) and it stands to reason that there are lost spirits all over the word (not just in New York) So why shouldn't there be other Bestowers operating...well just about anywhere really.
Just a few thought on what I'd like to see in the series. I'm sure whatever Dave comes up with will be phenomenal as usual.
Feel free to leave your thoughts!
Can't wait for Epiphany!
