Yes, I guess it will come down to that, as we get no answer on that theme anymore. But it's not totally satisfying, because... well, yes, one could see the re-acquisition of the games as a bonus detail (I feel dumb for finding it cumbersome, as I can't say it objectively is, in a digital world), but also I'm unsure about the exact GOG deal, and I'd have preferred to buy them from here, at the authors' preferred price, instead of going through middlemen and unknown cuts. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

(This is not against GOG, just to make it clear. I already buy enough games there, but I ask myself the questions a bit differently in the cases where there are alternate ways to get them, that would benefit the authors more.)

In my case, I got the first three Blackwell games on an indie bundle, bought Blackwell Deception through this site, ended up buying it on Steam for practically everyone and their grandmother, and finally bought the complete bundle on GOG. To me that seems like enough cash flow for them.

Good news everyone!

Just for this one week, you can buy the Blackwell Deception soundtrack for just $9,99, and as a bonus, you'll get the complete Blackwell series entirely for free. After that, the price goes up to $14,99.

I might have the order wrong though.

The IndiŽ Royale bundle which contained the Blackwell bundle has ended a month ago. The current Blackwell bundle is nearly exactly the same as the one in the IndiŽ Royale one.

Well, you could just always buy the AGS Bake Sale Bundle if you need some more adventure gaming, but if it's Blackwell you want, I'm betting it will take a while. Perhaps a year, perhaps two years, perhaps a later year.

I think the reason he didn't do it yet was because the story so far didn't really lend itself for the character.

LiK Chan, I presume?  Welcome to the forum!

I'm working on it. :)  It's in the nebulous design stage right now, which means it's out there but I have no idea what shape it'll take yet.  But once I have more information I'll definitely share it.
Hopefully it will take the shape of an adventure game.

Or a sphere. I love spheres. Although not in the shape of an eyeball please. I have phobias relating to eyeballs.

The 5-year anniversary commentary stated it was his first commercial game.

There is a windowed mode, you activate it by using winsetup.exe, which is located in the install folder.

Yeah, except how many stories can you cram between a timespan of about five days? You know, seeing as it's about that many days before the supposed end of the world is supposed to be in the game or something.

I'm talking about Assassin's Creed here by the way.

Like Boromir once famously said:

One does not simply defeat an entire evil brotherhood or whoever they are.

Hey, perhaps a sixth Blackwell could involve evil ghost clowns or Cthulhu.

The Blackwell series / Re: When is Blackwell Deception coming to Steam?

I gave a copy of the game away to a "random" person.

I sometimes gift a game to a random person when I feel like it. This time though I gave it to the one who convinced me enough to give that person the game.

I'd just replay the games anyway, since the achievements aren't retroactively unlocked.

I've got all achievements of the Blackwell Legacy in one run that way, by the way, by replaying the entire game in dual commentary mode.

I myself have bought the Blackwell Deception from here, and the prices do get converted to Euros, however, they get converted at the current exchange rate. It might be that you see the current price in Euros with added taxes, since for some stupid reason the European Union actually taxes online purchases (mostly around 19%, but you'll have to see per country how much tax is being calculated).

My thoughts were it could have been Joey, but then I realized he couldn't have. He already was on the photo.

If I recall correctly the games aren't yet Steam-ready, as they will be updated on a later date when the games actually hit the Steam store.
