July 10, 2008 - New game announced! -
Two months ago, I hinted at a publishing deal between me and another indie developer. I've kept mum since then, but things have progressed to the point where it's time to let the cat out of the bag.
So, yes. Wadjet Eye Games is getting into the publishing scene. Those of you who played Blackwell Unbound should be familiar with Erin Robinson of Lively Ivy Studios, the lady who created all the character sprites and backgrounds for the game. As I said last week, she won first prize in the Aspiring Women Game Artists competition hosted by Gamedev. What you might not know is that she is a mighty clever game designer in her own right. So it gives me great pleasure to announce a partnership deal between Wadjet Eye and Lively Ivy (or Wadjet Ivy, for short).
As for the game itself, here is what we can share:
1 - It will be a puzzle themed adventure game in the style of Nanobots, Lively Ivy's most recent game
2 - She is aiming for an early November release date
Screenshots and more info to follow! In the meantime, you can read the official announcement on the general press page.
As for Convergence, we are aiming to release the game sometime in the Fall.
That's all for now! Till next time,
-Dave

July 3, 2008 - Here's to you, Erin Robinson -
Erin Robinson, who single-handedly drew all of the sprites and backgrounds for Blackwell Unbound, just won first place in the Aspiring Women Game Artists contest, which was hosted by Gamedev. Congratulations, Erin!
In addition to her art work on Unbound, she's also designed a few award-winning games of her own. If you haven't done so already, be sure to go to her website and check out her work.

June 30, 2008: New Convergence Screenshots! -
As mentioned in my first vidcast, a brand new team of artists is working on the game. Finally, some brand new screenshots are here courtesy of Luminous Arts and Shane Stevens. These five images should give you a good idea of what the new style of the game will be like. Head on over to the Blackwell Convergence screenshots page to check them out.
More soon!
